George Kohl, senior managing director of CBRE, Inc. has been elected president of the The Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago (BOMA/Chicago). He will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the organization around key issues and initiatives, including energy management and sustainability, security and life safety and real estate property taxes. Kohl has been a member of BOMA/Chicago's leadership since 2009. He previously served as board member, vice president and treasurer, and currently is a member of BOMA/Chicago's political action committee and a director of the BOMA/Chicago Foundation. As senior managing director of CBRE, the 25-year commercial real estate industry veteran oversees CBRE's asset services line of business for the northern portion of the Central Region, which includes Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Pittsburgh.
