Lisa K. Loesel has been promoted to partner in the Chicago office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. She focuses her practice on a variety of employee benefits matters, including the design, amendment and administration of pension plans, 401(k) plans and nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements. Loesel counsels privately and publicly held corporations regarding the employee benefits design and transition matters arising from corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. She also advises clients regarding fiduciary and plan investment issues under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Additionally, Loesel has experience counseling plan fiduciaries with respect to the claims and appeals procedures under ERISA. She routinely represents clients in negotiations before the Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Department of Labor and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Loesel earned her J.D. from University of Michigan Law School. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Yale University.
