William C. McGaghie has been named the director of The Loyola University Chicago Health Sciences Division¿s Leischner Institute, which trains medical professionals. McGaghie will hold joint appointments at Loyola University Chicago¿s Stritch School of Medicine and Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. He will guide educational research and interprofessional programs which bring together future physicians, nurses and medical researchers to create a more cohesive team resulting in better patient care. Before joining Loyola on Jan. 1, McGaghie was the Jacob R. Suker, MD, Professor of Medical Education and a professor of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He also was a member of the Northwestern University Graduate faculty.
