Thomas P. McGuinness has been appointed president of Inland American Real Estate Trust, Inc. He will oversee the management of the company's day-to-day operations, including the strategic business plan, investment decisions, asset management and financing functions for the diverse and nationally-positioned portfolio. McGuinness joined Inland in 1982 and has held several executive positions throughout the organization. He currently serves as president of Inland American Business Manager & Advisor, Inc. (IABMA), and will maintain that position. He previously served as the president of the Chicagoland Apartment Association, as the regional vice president of the National Apartment Association and as a trustee with the Service Employees' Local No. 1 Health and Welfare Fund and its Pension Fund.
