Robert Shaw, 57, has been appointed director of federal sales for Tecta America Corp. A retired colonel with the U.S. Air Force, he brings a combined 39 years of military and industry experience to the position where he will oversee federal, state, local and tribal government relations. Shaw joins Tecta America from Willdan Energy Solutions, where he was vice president for federal business. Prior to that, Shaw held the position of federal accounts, government markets programs specialist for Carlisle SynTec. He has also held federal account positions with Constellation Energy and Florida Power & Light. Shaw's extensive military career spanned 32 years, beginning with his 1973 enlistment in the Air Force. His wide range of experiences and military assignments included command responsibilities in Panama and Southwest Asia; flight and squadron command; wing executive officer, Air Staff and MAJCOM director, Air Staff division chief and Pentagon staff program element monitor. In 2005, Shaw retired at the rank of Colonel. Shaw is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and the U.S. Air Force War College. He has a Master's degree from Shippensburg University.
