Investment bank and financial adviser Loop Capital said it has hired Steven J. Sherman to run its new financial consulting arm, Loop Capital Financial Consulting Services. Prior to joining Loop Capital, Sherman chaired KPMG's global valuations committee for seven years, overseeing a network of 1,200 professionals in more than 50 countries and led KPMG's U.S. Valuations practice from 2003 until 2011. He spent 30 years with KPMG. In 2010, Sherman was named chair of the Standards Board of the International Valuations Standards Council (IVSC).
