Ian Sohn returns to Ogilvy & Mather Chicago as executive vice president, director of emerging platforms and partnerships. He will direct and lead the discovery and development of partnerships in the digital/mobile/social space and lead the agency's practical application of new digital platforms. Sohn will work across all Ogilvy disciplines and business units to identify and develop key partnerships and emerging platforms. Additionally, he will implement digital training programs for all employees on emerging trends and best practices, mentor junior staff and lead thought-leadership and visibility efforts for the firm both internally and externally. Most recently, Sohn led sales and marketing efforts for early-stage mobile advertising startup, Tap.Me, where he developed mobile advertising campaigns for marketers such as P&G and ConAgra. Before entering the startup world, Sohn was senior vice president and group director of Ogilvy PR's 360° digital influence practice, and then Social@Ogilvy after its launch in 2012. Prior to originally joining Ogilvy PR in 2007, Sohn led global marketing partnerships for Nokia. Sohn has also held leadership positions at several boutique digital marketing agencies in New York City. He began his career in corporate communications at Sony Music. Sohn received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.
