Coachella lineup to feature Guns N' Roses, LCD Soundsystem, Calvin Harris

The Coachella Music and Arts Festival has unveiled its 2016 lineup with Guns N' Roses, Calvin Harris and LCD Soundsystem headlining this year's event in April.

Other performers are Ice Cube, Sia, Ellie Goulding, Major Lazer and A$AP Rocky.

The back-to-back weekend festival, held in Indio, CA, takes place April 15-17 and April 22-24.

Goldenvoice made the announcement on Monday.

The reunions of Guns N' Roses and New York electronic favorite LCD Soundsystem were first reported last week. The latter band, fronted by James Murphy, hasn't played together since 2011, but for Guns N' Roses, the wait for die-hard fans has been much longer.

Original Guns N' Roses members Axl Rose and Slash are expected to reunite on the Coachella main stage alongside bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum, marking the group's first appearance together in two decades.

Guns N' Roses will then launch a North American summer after Coachella that may include up to 25 stadiums. According to Billboard, L.A. rockers are demanding $3 million per show and up to $250-$275 per ticket. Guns N' Roses will play alongside another magnet from the '80s and '90s, rapper Ice Cube, on Saturday night.

LCD Soundsystem, who last played a farewell show at Madison Square Garden in 2011, will headline Friday night.

Tickets for the event go on sale Wednesday.

Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris will close out the festival on Sunday night. Harris, who has performed with the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry, last played Coachella in 2014, where he drew the fest's second-largest crowd ever. He's also the boyfriend of pop sensation Taylor Swift.

Among the other indie and electro outfits added to the Coachella bill on Monday include CHVRCHES, M83, Sufjan Stevens, Underworld, the Kills, Disclosure and Rancid.
