Chigger bite

Treat it: If you're itchy, use hydrocortisone cream.

Head to the doctor if: Chigger bites aren't known for being life-threatening, so the doctor will most likely only give you Benadryl to ease the itch. But if you think you're having a strong allergic reaction, it's always best to get it checked out.

FYI: The chigger will attach itself to you, but don't worry about removal. It will fall off on its own about 3 to 6 hours after attacking.
