The bronze masterpiece represents the legend of Romulus and Remus, twins raised by a she-wolf after the overthrow of their father. The statue was a gift to the southern locale from Benito Mussolini, a dictator who apparently not only made the trains run on time but also had an affection for wolf statues.Morgan Murphy
