Cubs fall to Brewers 4-3 in 10 innings

MILWAUKEE -- As if things aren’t  bad enough for the

Cubs

, they had to face left-handed starting pitchers for three of the next four days. The first one didn't turn out so well.

Left-hander Randy

Randy Wolf

started the finale of  the series for the

Brewers

. The Cubs also have to face lefties two of the three weekend days they play the

Twins

.

Before meeting Wolf, the Cubs were 2-11 against left-handed starters this season and were batting .222 against them, tied with the

Wolf shot down the Cubs for four innings and finally got a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth when Aoki hit a home run off

Matt Garza

. It was Aoki's second homer as a Brewre but the first that actually went into the seats. His first was an inside-the-park homer.

The Brewers took the lead to 2-0 in the sixth inning -- the last inning for Garza-- when

Corey Hart

doubled and scored on a single by

George Kottaras

.

The Cubs finally scored in the seventh inning, although the run was unearned. The only hit in the rally was an RBI double by

Koyie Hill

.

With Wolf gone, the Cubs took the lead in the eighth inning.

Alfonso Soriano

singled with two outs off

Francisco Rodriguez

, then

Bryan LaHair

pinch-hit a home run for a 3-2 edge.

But the Brewers came right back with the tying run when Aoki singled and scored on  another Hart double, this one off Manny Corpas.

Aoki then led off the 10th inning with a homer off

Casey Coleman

.
