Marquis Mosely, Bloomington, sr., 6-1, 177. Caught 56 passes for 1,271 yards and 13 TDs. Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, Texas and Illinois are recruiting him.

Receiver:

Ontario Pryor, Shepard, sr., 6-2, 195. The SICA North`s No. 1 player had 21 catches for 516 yards, averaging almost 25 yards per catch.

, Yorkville, sr., 6-7, 240. Had 34 receptions for 432 yards, 3 TDs. Being recruited by Notre Dame, Miami, Penn St., Boston College, most Big 10 schools.

Lineman:

Benyard Jones, Kankakee, sr., 6-3, 260. The No. 1 lineman in the SICA South is being pursued by Nebraska, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Boston College.

Lineman:

Chip McPheeters, Waubonsie Valley, sr., 6-3, 265. Helped his team rush for 3,373 yards. Illinois, Michigan, Colorado, Penn State and Iowa are in hot pursuit.

Lineman:

Dan Maly, Providence, sr., 6-7, 265. Tremendous pass blocker from his right tackle position, he helped lead Providence to an 8-2 season while allowing just one sack.

Mark Sroka, Maine South, sr., 6-5, 252. Helped Hawks' running game average 325 yards a game. Recruited by Illinois, Stanford, Notre Dame, Northwestern.

Lineman:

Jim Van Vlymen, Homewood-Flossmoor, sr., 6-4, 265. Often sealed off a portion of the defensive line for H-F`s running, passing attack. Being recruited by Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, Michigan State.

Quarterback:

Jeff Hecklinski, Palatine, sr., 6-4, 200. The No. 1 college prospect in the state is Illinois-bound after passing for 2,387 yards and 23 TDs this season with career totals of 5,871 yards and 54 TDs.

Running back:

Phil Adler, Wheaton-Warrenville South, sr., 5-7, 207. The irrepressible fullback has rushed for 1,847 yards and 25 TDs in leading the Tribune`s No. 1-ranked team into the Class 5A title game.

Running back:

Robert Farmer, Bolingbrook, sr., 6-1, 215. Heralded as the state`s No. 1 running back, he rushed for 1,566 yards and 18 TDs. Miami, Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, Illinois and Northwestern are recruiting him.

Mark Day, Joliet Catholic, sr., 6-4, 220-Most dominant lineman in state. East Suburban Catholic Defensive Player of Year, with 13 sacks. Considering Boston College, N.C. State, Ohio State, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois and Purdue.

Lineman:

Leo Perez, Buffalo Grove, sr., 6-3, 275-Recorded 68 tackles, six sacks while being double-teamed. Considering Purdue, Kansas, Nebraska, Penn State, Indiana.

Lineman:

Aaron Thomas, Immaculate Conception, sr., 6-3, 225-Suburban Catholic Defensive Player of Year. Switched from linebacker to tackle as senior.

Linebacker:

David James, East St. Louis Sr., sr., 6-0, 215-Compares favorably to former All-Stater Dana Howard. Recorded 80 solo tackles. Illinois, Colorado, Tennessee, Michigan top wish list.

Jim O`Connor, Loyola, 5-10, 195, sr.-All-Catholic League choice and leader of defense that allowed six points per game en route to 6A final.

Tim Scharf, Rockford Boylan, 6-2, 220, sr.-Defensive Player of the Year in NIC-9 Conference with 73 solos, 40 assists. Will choose between Illinois, Wisconsin and Northwestern.

Mike Vakos, Naperville North, sr., 5-11, 215-Du Page Valley Defensive Player of Year and three-year starter. Over 85 solos and five deflected passes.
