The Chicago Department of Aviation announced plans Friday to begin offering free Wi-Fi access to some websites at Chicago airports within the next six weeks. In a deal still being finalized with current Internet service provider, Boingo Communications, travelers can expect free access to specific news, sports, shopping, gaming and travel websites.
Internet access at O'Hare and
currently costs $6.95 per day.
The deal between the city and Boingo does not yet include access to email platforms but is expected to include a limited period of time to access email at no charge.
