OJ Breaks Rushing Record 1976

1976: Lions 27, Bills 14 Before OJ Simpson found himself at the center of one of the most notorious crimes of all-time he was a premier running back for the Buffalo Bills. In the '76 Thanksgiving game he set the record for rushing yards in a game with 273. That was not enough to propel the Bills to victory, however, as Bills' quarterback Gary Marangi was only able to complete 4 of 21 pass attempts for a mere 29 yards. Simpson's record has been broken numerous times since and is currently held by Minnesota's Adrian Peterson with 296.
