This winter will be anything but ordinary at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Last fall, the two resorts joined forces, bringing skiers and riders access to 6,000 skiable acres, 43 lifts and over 270 trails all on one lift ticket or season pass. Now in year two of the resorts’ $70-million renaissance, this winter brings new chairlifts, vastly improved snowmaking systems, redesigned stores and restaurants, and a mile-long terrain park to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
Families can explore a mountaintop ice rink and kids’ mini-snowmobile course, or relax in the Village at Squaw Valley around cozy fire pits and enjoy a host of restaurants, bars, boutiques and art galleries. Guests can also stay in one of the Village at Squaw Valley’s one-, two- or three-bedroom suites, each with a fireplace, kitchen and balcony, for the ultimate slopeside lodging experience. To take advantage of the interchangeable lift tickets at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, guests can take the quick 10 minute ride on the free Squaw Alpine Express that runs continuously between the two resorts.
Whatever you are looking for this winter, you can find it at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. Welcome to extraordinary.
