Marcia Ball, the swamp-boogie piano queen from deepest Louisiana, is a veteran musician who keeps winning over new fans. This year, she was nominated for a Best Blues Album Grammy award for her disc ¿Roadside Attractions.¿ Ball wrote or co-wrote every tune on that album, so expect to hear music from that release and much more when Ball hosts a New Year¿s Eve concert at The American Theatre in Hampton. She¿s set to deliver ¿a little rock, a lot of roll, a pinch of rhythm and a handful of blues.¿ Showtime is 9 p.m. The concert will be followed by a reception with the band. Tickets are $40.
