A plane that flies forever and never needs to land?

A plane that can fly endlessly and never need to land to refuel?

While it seems improbable, NASA researchers are exploring the possibility and they want to tell you about it.

NASA engineer Craig Nickol will give a free public lecture at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Virginia Air & Space Center in downtown Hampton.

The talk will center on a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency project nicknamed “Vulture,” in which an unmanned aircraft could endlessly fly around Earth absorbing energy from the sun.

Nickol will give the same talk earlier Tuesday at NASA Langley Research Center. That event is not open to the public.
