Bar Louie has opened up at Peninsula Town Center.
Born in Chicago and now based in Texas, the restaurant-bar chain has a sophisticated look and feel about it. Tables and chairs are nicely spaced to allow guests to move about, and the music and TV screens above the center bar don’t overwhelm the large room.
“We consider ourselves a local bar with hand-crafted cocktails, American food and a downtown city atmosphere,” says general manager Mike Mariano.
Night-crawlers will be happy to know that Bar Louie stays open until 2 a.m. nightly, and the kitchen serves until 1:30 a.m.
There's a nice lineup of specialty drinks and martinis. The menu features small plates, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches, burgers and entrees (according to the website) such as Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna, Mediterranean Salmon and Voodoo Chicken (blackened chicken and andouille sausage).
