Boat captain Linda Greenlaw, who was featured in Sebastian Junger’s novel, “The Perfect Storm,” will lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at The
Greenlaw is America’s only female swordfish boat captain and the bestselling author of several books. Her appearance coincides with the release of the paperback, “Seaworthy: A Swordboat Captain Returns to the Sea,” in which she writes of her return to swordfishing after a 10-year absence. Her adventures in the Grand Banks off Newfoundland include dealing with a rusty boat, a motley crew and the Canadian border patrol.
Also just released is Greenlaw’s latest cookbook, “The
Summers Cookbook,” co-written with her mother, Martha Greenlaw.
The event is free to museum members, $5 for non-members. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
