, a schools-based program that works to eliminate bullying, will be live online. Gregory has been featured by The Today Show, CNN, Time Magazine and USA Today for her expertise on children's social behaviors.
Janis Gioia also will answer readers questions about bullying. She is a teacher and author of "The Wolf Pack Classroom Management Plan
." The book shows teachers how to create a nurturing classroom environment that addresses children's social and emotional concerns. She argues that bullying can be prevented when teachers build a prosocial classroom community.
Robin Young, the program manager for the new intiative Circle of Respect
, also will participate in the chat. The Circle of Respect is a new program designed by the National Crime Prevention Council to deal with bullying.
Christina Mahoney will join the expert panel, as well. Mahoney earned an M.Ed. and Ed.S. degree in school psychology from the College of William and Mary. She has been a school psychologist for fourteen years and employed with Gloucester County Public Schools for the past 12 years. She currently facilitate a suicide intervention program at Gloucester County High School.
