Looking for a weekend getaway? Bay Creek Resort and Club on the Eastern Shore is reviving its dinner train.The Bay Creek Railway is a restored 1913 Interurban railcar that operates round-trip dining excursions from Cape Charles.The two-hour event leaves from the station on Mason Avenue and travels to Eastville then returns to Cape Charles. The summer schedule offers lunch service at 1 p.m. Saturdays and dinners at 6:30 or 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through September. The dining car, which seats 30 passengers, also is available for charter groups and special events.On board, guests are served a four-course meal featuring corn and crab chowder, Caesar salad, and a choice of jumbo lump crab cakes, roasted lemon and rosemary chicken or pan seared pork chop with bourbon and caramelized onion confit. Dessert is key lime pie.Cost is $55 for dinner and $25 for lunch. A special children’s menu is available for $15.The Bay Creek Railway renovation was begun in 2006 and completed in 2008.
