The first Pamunkey River Wine Festival sponsored by Saude Creek Vineyards will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the winery.
Invited wineries include New Kent Winery, James River Cellars, Williamsburg Winery, First Colony Winery, Weston Farm Vineyard & Winery, and Athena Vineyards.
Three bands — Randy Davis and Somethin' Else, The Winstons and Nathan Lienard — will keep the afternoon lively, and there'll be lots of food, including barbecue, paninis and Italian and Greek cuisine.
Tasting tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate. Advance tickets are available at the vineyards or online at www.pamunkeyriverwinefestival.com. Non-tasting tickets are $10, and the event is free to children 12 and under.
