Hurricane Threatens Cotton Crop

A picker is halted after getting clogged with cotton on the fields of Carroll Farms in Isle of Wight late Thursday evening. On Thursday Carroll farms still had about 300 acres to go. Farmers stay in the field til about 10:30 Thursday and resumed early Friday. As of 9:30 AM they had harvested another 30 acres. If all goes well Brian Carroll thinks he can get in about 90% of his cotton before the storm hits.
