Before 7,016 fans, the biggest Scope crowd of the season, the
Goals by John Kurtz and Patrick Maroon gave Norfolk the lead, but Syracuse responded each time. The Crunch (22-7-2-3) went ahead 3-2 on Richard Panik's wraparound goal in the third period, but Kyle Palmieri scored for the Admirals to force overtime and ensure Norfolk (14-16-2-0) a point in the standings.
Dustin Tokarski earned his second goaltending victory of the weekend, beating Igor Bobkov.
Saturday's crowd eclipsed Friday's mark of 6,285. The two crowds to see the Crunch were the largest crowds at Scope prior to Jan. 14 of any year in AHL Admirals history.
