Boo Williams' EYBL team wins twice more Saturday, improves to 7-1

The Boo Williams Summer League elite team won twice more on Saturday to improve its record to 6-1 in the Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League.

Boo's team plays twice more on Sunday as the EYBL reaches its halfway point.

Robert Johnson of Benedictine and Dwayne Foreman of Massanutten Academy combined for 44 points in a 62-57 victory over E1T1 of Florida.

BWSL then held off Seattle Rotary 67-65 in its second game on Saturday. Johnson scored 12 to lead a very balanced attack that eight players score between 6 and 12 points.

Up on Sunday, a 9:30 a.m. matchup with Southern Stampede of Alabama and a 2 p.m. game against MacIrvin Fire of Chicago.

Southern Stampede has four players ranked in Rivals.com's top 32 players in the Class of 2014, which MacIrvin has the No. 1 player, Jahil Okafor.

Southern Stampede is 0-3 this weekend, while MacIrvin Fire is 3-0.

16-UNDER: Boo's 16-under team has won four straight and is in the semifinals of the Gold Bracket. The BWSL team won its pool with three straight victories, then beat Nike Team Louisiana 60-45 in the gold quarterfinals.

The semifinal is at 8 Sunday morning at Bethel High School. A victory would send Boo's team into the 10:40 championship game, also at Bethel.

15-UNDER: Boo Williams' 15-under team moved into the gold semifinals by beating the CP3 all-stars 85-73 late Saturday night. The team also has won four straight games this weekend.

The semifinals start at 9:20 at Bethel, with the championship game at noon.
