Freshman Chris Orlina had 32 points as Woodside dominated Lakeland 83-57 Thursday in the first round of a tournament at King's Fork in Suffolk.
Orlina added four assists, three blocks and three steals. Air Force-bound senior Trevor Lyons had 24 points, seven rebounds and four steals, and freshman guard Devonte Carter contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.
The Wolverines advanced to face Churchland at 6:30 p.m. Friday in a semifinal.
The Cavaliers fell into a 5 p.m. consolation matchup against Salem.

In a bizarre ending, Cape Henry Collegiate defeated Flora Macdonald Academy of Red Springs, N.C.

Peninsula Catholic Holiday Classic:
Nathan Silvertson scored 16 points as Isle of Wight Academy beat Peninsula Catholic 60-46 to reach the championship game at the Peninsula Catholic Holiday Classic.
The Chargers will face Amelia Academy, which beat Hampton Roads Academy 54-29. The Navigators and Knights will play an all-Newport News matchup for third place.
Sam Thomas scored 21 points and Aaron Barnes 19 to lead Denbigh Baptist to a 74-60 victory over Hampton Christian in a consolation game.
The Minutemen took control by outscoring the Warriors 15-8 in the second quarter for a 35-27 halftime edge.
Stephen Iverson scored 21 and Evan Dougood 20 for Hampton Christian.
Denbigh Baptist will play for fifth place at 2 p.m. Friday against Alliance Christian. Hampton Christian will play for seventh against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy.
Clifton Barksdale scored 19 points and Byron Joyce 17 to guide Alliance past NSA 53-51.
Steven Minter led the Saints with 17, while Morgan Wentz had 15 and John Hogan 12.
The Falcons led by 15 after three quarters and barely held off an NSA rally.
Henrico Holiday Hoops Classic:
Walsingham Academy beat J.R. Tucker 53-29 in a consolation contest to earn a spot in the fifth-place game against Glen Allen.
King’s Fork tournament:
King's Fork beat Menchville 55-44 in the first round of the Bulldogs' tournament in Suffolk, though Richard Washington scored a game-high 17 points for the Monarchs.
Jacorey Smith’s 14 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists paced the Bulldogs.
Ronald Curry Classic:
Rakeen Brown and DeShawn Barton combined for 43 of Bethel’s points in an 80-70 win over Bishop Sullivan of Virginia Beach in the Ronald Curry Christmas Classic quarterfinals.
The Bruins, the only non-Northern Region team in the semifinals, will play W.T. Woodson on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Edison and Herndon will square off in the first semi.
Edison beat Williamsburg Christian Academy 57-53 despite Jake Duncan’s 30 points.
Joe Ellis Memorial Tournament:
Jamestown beat host Surry County 71-58 on the first night to earn a berth in Friday's championship game.
The Eagles will take on Charles City, which defeated Essex 75-58.
Tidewater Academy tournament:
Elante Drew scored 19 points and Marquel Saunders 12 to guide Tidewater Academy to the championship of its tournament with a 58-49 win over StoneBridge in Wakefield.
