Inside the PD: Busy, important week coming up in PD hoops

With last week's snowstorm (such as it was), the Peninsula District basketball schedule was set off course. The result: Everyone will play four games in the next seven days -- some in an even smaller window.
Take Kecoughtan (13-3, 11-1) and Hampton (12-4, 10-2), the top two teams in the boys' standings. Each will play on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. That will set up their anticipated rematch next Tuesday, Feb. 5, in the Crabbers' gym.
On the girls' side, Kecoughtan and Woodside, the co-leaders at 11-1, will go into their Saturday afternoon game a tad less than fresh. The Warriors are at Bethel Tuesday, at Gloucester Wednesday, and home to Heritage Friday. The Wolverines are  home to Gloucester Tuesday, at Heritage Wednesday, and home to Phoebus Friday night.
Here's this week's schedule. I'm still waiting to hear when the Phoebus-Menchvillle game, originally scheduled for last Saturday, will be played.
