Hampton girls coach Eric Scott says Virginia Tech is the latest to offer junior Khadijah Berger, who in a normal year would be the best point guard in the Peninsula District. Berger also has offers from Old Dominion, Delaware, Marshall and Bethune-Cookman, according to Scott.
Going into Friday night’s trip to Menchville, Berger is averaging 20.2 points a game, second in the district to Woodside’s Adrienne Motley. Berger had 31 in a win over Heritage on Dec. 20.
“She really has grown a lot since last year,” Scott said. “She’s taken ownership of this team.”
