Inside the PD: On tap for PD baseball and softball

Spring Break is over, and warm weather has arrived! To quote U2, "It's a beautiful day/Don't let it get away." (Kids, ask your parents).
So here’s what’s on tap for Tuesday in Peninsula District baseball and softball.
Denbigh (5-3, 4-3) at Woodside (6-1, 5-0). The Patriots have been the PD's biggest surprise so far. CF John Garcia is off to an outstanding start, and the Patriots are playing solid defense. The Wolverines, who split a pair against York during the break, are cruising behind P Josh Welcher (3-0).
Others on the docket:
Hampton (6-2, 5-2) at Kecoughtan (3-4, 3-3). The Crabbers went into spring break with a 4-2 win at Menchville.
Bethel (3-4, 3-4) at Menchville (7-2, 5-2). The Monarchs won a pair of non-district games  last  week.
Heritage (0-6, 0-6) at Warwick (0-7, 1-7).  The Hurricanes hope to break their 63-game district losing streak.
Gloucester (5-1, 5-1) at Phoebus (1-4, 1-3). The Dukes have won three in a row.

Bethel (4-3, 4-3) at Menchville (7-0, 6-0). The Monarchs have been rolling behind the battery of P Darby Deanhofer and C Leah Andrews. The Bruins’ only losses have been to Gloucester, Warwick and Kecoughtan.
