Radford coach Tajama Abraham Ngongba was fired after five seasons, the school announced and the Ladyswish blog reported Thursday evening.
"I would like to thank Coach Ngongba for her efforts the past five seasons in leading the Radford women's basketball program," Highlanders director of athletics Robert Lineburg said in a release. "At this time, however, I feel it is in the best interest of the program to seek new leadership."
With six seniors, four of whom were starters, Ngongba guided the Highlanders to a 16-14 record in 2012-13 and a second consecutive appearance in the Big South tournament semifinals before losing to Longwood. Her record in five seasons was 62-85.
