Casey Cizikas scored 2:28 into overtime Friday night to give Bridgeport a 4-3 victory over Norfolk (10-12-1-0), which is trying to escape last place in the AHL’s Eastern Conference.

The Sound Tigers (12-11-1-1), the top affiliate of the New York Islanders, took a one-goal lead in each regulation period before 4,902 at Scope.

Each time, the Admirals answered back, thanks to goals by Devante Smith-Pelly, Peter Holland and Patrick Maroon.

But Cizikas' goal dropped the Admirals to 10-12-1-0 with their first non-regulation loss of the season. With 21 points, they are trying to escape a tie with Adirondack for last place in the tightly bunched conference.

The Sound Tigers and Admirals meet again at 7:15 Saturday night.
