Coastal Plain League:
Gloucester's Joey Burney finished with four RBI for the Wilson Tobs, who scored twice in the ninth inning Friday to pin an 8-7 defeat on the Peninsula Pilots 8-7 at War Memorial Stadium.
In a seesaw game all night, the Tobs broke through in the final inning against Longwood's Aaron Myers, a Denbigh High graduate. LSU-Shreveport's Ridge Gonsoulin singled to center field, East Carolina's Luke Lowery smacked a tying RBI double to center field, and a fielder's-choice grounder by Burney -- an Old Dominion player -- brought in pinch runner Kevin Jordan of Wake Forest with the go-ahead run.
Earlier, Burney added a two-run single for the Tobs (4-0).
The Pilots fell to 2-2 despite two RBI from ODU's Taylor Ostrich.
