HU football clinic features Stephenson, Sexton

football coaches' clinic will take place on April 1 and feature

NFL

Hall of Fame offensive lineman

Dwight Stephenson

, a graduate of Hampton High who played with the

Miami Dolphins

from 1980-1987, as well as

St. Louis Rams

special teams coach and ex-HU player Derius Swinton.

Stan Sexton, who led Phoebus High to its third straight Group AAA state championship, also will be a featured guest.

Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, April 1 at Armstrong Stadium. The clinic will conclude with Hampton's annual Blue/White spring scrimmage at 4 p.m.

HU head coach Donovan Rose is also playing hosting to a charity golf tournament on April 2 at Kiln Creek. Stephenson will also participate in the golf tournament, which features a 12:30 p.m. putting contest and a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

The deadline for registration is March 25, and proceeds will benefit the Hampton University Scholarship Fund.
