The Menchville High girls volleyball team outlasted Churchland 22-25, 25-17, 25-10, 21-25, 15-9 Tuesday in the Eastern Region quarterfinals at First Colonial, giving the Peninsula District a rare achievement: two teams in the semis.
Both will be big underdogs in the semis. Menchville will face Kellam, and Kecoughtan -- which came from two sets down to upend Granby on Monday -- will take on Ocean Lakes.
