Group A private schools Mathews: The Blue Devils are chasing Washington & Lee and Lancaster in Region A. They return Tyler Mattox, who finished eighth at 125 pounds in last season's Group A state meet. He's at 130 this season and is joined by Jonathan Morse at 160, Shawn Shultheiss (189) and Garrett Fosdyck (285) as the team's leaders.
Middlesex: Alex Pratt, Craig Conley, Cameron Wines and Chris Mason are the top wrestlers.
Peninsula Catholic: The Knights finished fifth in the Tidewater Conference last year and hope to improve behind seven seniors in the last seven weight classes, starting at 145 pounds. Thomas Jorgenson (152) and Charles Jorgenson (160) will be keys. Thomas was TCIS champ at 145 and Charles was second at 160.
