Virginia on Thursday released its 2012-13 conference schedule, and of the four league rivals the Cavaliers face only once, three figure to be among the ACC's best.

Last season, Virginia played six non-league teams that finished below 270th on the Rating Percentage Index. Only one of the Cavaliers' known opponents for next season, Seattle, was that low.
The complete ACC schedule with times and dates is due for release this summer, most likely in August.
Virginia Tech has yet to reveal its conference opponents for 2012-13. But I do know three of the four teams the Hokies play just once: North Carolina, North Carolina State and Florida State.
So like Virginia, Tech (4-12 ACC last season and in midst of coaching transition) appears to have caught a break from the ACC schedule-makers.
