Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center was built in 2007 for $98 million with 108 beds in private rooms. Besides an Emergency Department, services include maternity, ambulatory surgery, women’s imaging, outpatient rehab, and inpatient surgery.

Riverside Health System is building the $82 million Doctors Hospital in town with 69 rooms, acute care, and surgery suites.

Eastern State Hospital is the oldest public mental hospital in America (1773). Volunteers are encouraged.
