“Virginia Hospitality,” the first cookbook published by the Junior League of Hampton Roads, has been selected for QVC’s first-ever Classic Junior League Cookbook Collection.
The cookbook is scheduled to premiere on the QVC home shopping network on Wednesday, July 13, on “My Time with Mary Beth Rowe” at 9 a.m. and on “In the Kitchen with David,” QVC’s highest rated cooking show, at 9 p.m. that day. It will be available exclusively from QVC and will be offered as an auto delivery series. It can be purchased by calling QVC at 800-345-1515 or on-line at www.QVC.com.
The cookbook will be part of a group includes six Hall of Fame Junior League cookbooks, including “Charleston Receipts” (Charleston, S.C.), “Applehood and Motherpie” (Rochester, N.Y), “Simply Simpatico” (Albuquerque, Ne.M.), “Cotton Country Cooking” (Morgan Country, Ala.) and “The Gasparilla Cookbook” (Tampa, Fla.).
First published in 1976 and approaching its 20th printing, “Virginia Hospitality” includes more than 600 recipes and features sketches of famous Virginia homes by local artists.
