In the rumor mill is an item that Harpoon Larry's is eyeing a spot at Peninsula Town Center. Both sides say it's too early for that to happen.
Harpoon Larry's is planning to leave its North Armistead Avenue location when its lease is up in 2013, says manager Tyler Johnston. The lot where the popular seafood restaurant sits was purchased by CVS pharmacy several years ago, he says, and the restaurant is looking at a couple of locations. "We'll probably stay in Hampton," he says.
Q Barbecue at Peninsula Town Center has closed, and a sign on the door says "new restaurant coming soon." But mall management says no deals have been signed with Harpoon Larry's. Management says it is having conversations with potential tenants, but nothing is confirmed.
