When the Virginia Peninsula Literary Consortium announced last month that tickets were available to see world-renowned poet Nikki Giovanni at
If you aren't one of the lucky ticket-holders, though, take heart! There's still hope. The Consortium is making arrangements for as many fans as possible to attend the event. An area will be set aside in the auditorium lobby for non-ticket-holders to wait, and after those with tickets are seated, any remaining seats will be offered to those waiting (as available within fire code limits).
If you are among the fortunate, however, the Consortium has provided us with the following information to help you plan:

Look for signs on campus to direct you to parking areas.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and seating is general (not reserved). Please plan to arrive early for the best seats.
Ms. Giovanni's presentation will be followed by a Q-and-A session with the audience, and finally a book-signing. If you have a book you'd like signed, you're welcome to bring it. Books will also be available for purchase from the TNCC Bookstore.
