The Yorktown Wine Festival is coming up Saturday, Oct. 6, on Riverwalk Landing by the York River waterfront.
The popular event features a tasting of almost 20 Virginia wines, artisans and entertainment by The Rhondells. Hours are noon to 6 p.m.
Participating wineries include Belle Mount Vineyards, Williamsburg Winery, Castle Gruen Vineyards, Rosemont Vineyards & Winery, First Colony Winery, Athena Vineyards, Peaks of Otter Winery, Saude Creek Winery, Bright Meadows Farm, Horton Vineyards, Holly Grove Vineyards, Mattaponi Winery, Prince Michel Vineyards & Winery, Montdomaine, Oak Crest Winery, San Souci Vineyards, Rebec Vineyards, Cooper Vineyards and Davis Valley Vinery.
Proceeds will benefit Child Development Resources.
As in past years, the day will conclude with a four-course dinner featuring eight Virginia wines and entertainment by the Williamsburg String Trio at Riverwalk Restaurant. Tickets are $65, and they sell out fast, so check for availablility.
