Summer is in full swing and these local restaurants are updating their menus to match the season.

Oggi’s Sports | Brewhouse | Pizza has added four new dishes to its Summer Lovin’ menu, each paired with an Oggi’s brewed craft beer. Menu highlights: Summertime salad paired with Oggi’s Duck Dive Hefeweizen. Citrus notes accent the honey lemon vinaigrette, while yeast notes cut through the tang and sweetness of the fruits, candied walnuts and pickled onions; SoCal BBQ chicken salad paired with McGarvey’s Scottish Ale. The maltiness of the ale complements the smokey all-natural chipotle barbecue chicken while not overpowering the flavors of the fresh tomatoes, corn and cilantro; Southern chicken sandwich paired with The California Gold, a blonde ale with a crisp, refreshing flavor that cuts through the fattiness of the fried chicken and cheese while not overpowering the flavors of the creamy avocado and crisp lettuce; crisp Brussels sprouts paired with the Hoppily Ever After IPA, a bitter content to cut through the spice from the Fresno chiles and sriracha soy glaze, and citrus notes to bring out the natural flavors of the Brussels sprouts and shallots. Seven locations: Point Loma, Mission Valley, Santee, Del Mar, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Encinitas and Vista. oggis.com
