The scene at Central Park will not be pastoral Friday night.

The green space will play host to five bands, some of whom sound angry.

Rockfest, which runs from 6 p.m. to midnight, is presented by Hub City Radio of Aberdeen and Pepper Entertainment of Sioux Falls.

Rusty Rokit of KSDN-FM 94.1 The Rock said if the festival is a success, plans will begin immediately for another edition next year.

Rokit, whose real name is Jason Schaunaman, expects concertgoers to come from far outside Aberdeen. Comments on the event's Facebook fan page indicate that people are planning to journey from Manitoba, Texas, St. Louis, Iowa and Illinois.

The concert will proceed rain or shine.

Here's a look at each of the bands:

Hollywood Undead

Hollywood Undead, based in Los Angeles, combines hip hop with alternative rock. The band's music also has a dance influence.

Formed in 2005, Hollywood Undead put out its first album, “Swan Songs,” in 2008. The band's second studio album, “American Tragedy,” came out last year.
