Rocky Balboa, known as the "Italian Stallion," is a small-time boxer and debt collector for a loan shark that gets a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship title when the original challenger drops out of the bout in "Rocky." The 1976 film written by and starring Sylvester Stallone spawned five sequel films and a recent musical adaptation. After debuting in Hamburg in 2012, the Broadway production of "Rocky" officially opened in March.
