Ben Gazzara, 81 | Theater( Sony Picture Classics )
The actor, who died in February at 81, was most closely identified with the movies, particularly the films of John Cassavetes. But like many actors of his generation, he began his career in the theater and returned to the stage throughout his life. Gazzara originated the role of Brick in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" by Tennessee Williams. His other memorable stage roles include Eugene O'Neill's "Hughie," which he performed in New York and later took to L.A., and the 2006 Broadway revival of "Awake and Sing," by Clifford Odets.
