Eiko Ishioka, 73 | Theater( Brigitte Lacombe )
The award-winning Japanese designer died in January at 73 after a battle with cancer. Her eclectic career includes designing sets and costumes for stage productions such as "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" and "M. Butterfly." She also designed for the opera and Cirque du Soleil. Ishioka won an Oscar in 1993 for her costumes for "Bram Stoker's Dracula." She began her career in graphic design in Japan.
