( Handout ) The American violinist who was born with the not-as-dashing name Woodrow Wilson Rich, died in August at 94. The former child prodigy was regarded as one of the great virtuosos of the last century and was sometimes compared to Paganini. He performed regularly in Southern California, including concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Pacific Symphony. |
