Retired U.S. Marine Corps MSgt. Mark Gwathmey served 8 combat tours in his 21-year military career. He's suffered TBI (traumatic brain injury) from repetitive battlefield explosions; PTSD, and tremors from nerve damage. On the screen behind him is a picture of a soldier. For the past three years, he's had Larry, an English Lab cross who was trained by the organization, America's Vet Dogs, which helps disabled veterans. One of the things Larry does is warn him Gwathmey of his oncoming seizures. He also provides companionship for Gwathmey and his wife, CeCe.
