Albums: Kate Bush, '50 Words for Snow'

Kate Bush and Polly Jean Harvey have nothing in common besides their gender and where they're from -- England. And, well, that I've been a longtime fan of both and they released two of the best albums of the year -- "Let England Shake," in PJ's case. Dilemma! But this is a top five list, and in the end, I just kept coming back to Bush's twisted fable about love and loss, played out over a dreamscape that features hunky snowmen, spirits, bizarre tangents and another great duet featuring Elton John, "Snowed in at Wheeler Street." --E.M.
