It's certainly been interesting seeing friendships develop with a few new members to the NYC cast. But in many ways, it has truly brought out the good, the bad, and the obvious for each member of the NYC "Housewives" crew.
The episode began with the Aviva, Sonja, and Heather meeting Carole downtown. You'd think they were in a whole other world since the ladies had no idea that traffic would be bad in downtown
. Aviva and Sonja even admitted that they never take public transportation. They are obviously too good for it. But Carole plays it off in her chill, laid-back way.
Anyway, when all the ladies sit down for lunch, someone brings up Harry aka Aviva's ex-husband aka Sonja's ex lover aka LuAnn ex-lover (not sure in which order) and Carole makes the keen yet astute statement that "everyone f----- Harry."
Next we flash over to LuAnn, who (by no prompt from the producers, I'm sure) sits with her daughter, Victoria, who just so happens to be looking at her baby pictures. LuAnn tells her that her and Jacque may want to have a baby.
What?!?! Is she nuts?
It seems like Victoria is the only one with her head on strait since she reminds her mother that she "might be over the part of having children." LuAnn plays it off like she isn't getting her hopes up (yeah right) and she plans to go to a doctor to see what her chances are.
Is it just me or does it seem kind of strange that all of a sudden LuAnn wants to have another child? Yes, her and Jacque are happy but is this really a good decision? Dear god I hope this was just a conversation the producers wanted her to bring up since her story line this episode was so boring.
Anyway, back to the growing friendships. I think it's interesting how Sonja decides to get business advice on her toaster oven cookbook and her Sonja in the City party planning business from not only her BFF Ramona, but also Ramona's soon-to-be-and-kind-of-developing-enemy Heather.
I have to say, however, that I was pretty impressed with Ramona's knowledge and advice when it came to business (I know, it's weird that I'm actually saying something nice about Ramona, but the girl knew what she was talking about).
However, I wonder what Ramona will think when she finds out that Sonja went to talk to Heather too. And what she will say if Sonja ends up taking Heather's advice over hers.
After Sonja and Heather's chat, Heather invites her to meet her in London for a girl's weekend. It can't be a "Real Housewives" season without a trip, right? Well it won't be any ordinary trip because evidently not all the girls are invited. And Ramona had to learn that the hard way when Heather called Aviva to invite her while Ramona was with her.
Ramona tried to play it off cool but it was funny seeing her squirm in the background. Her eyes were starting to bulge but she acted like she didn't want to be invited (okay, sure, whatever you say).
To be honest, it felt like the whole thing was so middle school. It was like when that one girl you weren't really great friends with didn't invite you to her birthday party but she invited all of your friends and you get jealous and hurt because you didn't want to feel left out.
feel bad for Ramona that she had to find out about London that way, but I'm not going to lie, it was funny seeing her suck up to Heather at jewelry party. It's obvious that she wanted to be invited and was going to give it one more shot for a good impression.
So darn cute:
Aviva’s son, Hudson pretending to shave as his dad actually shaved.
Now I'm just embarrassed for you:
Heather keeps saying "Holla!" Her line in the opening credits is, "My success is built on making women look and feel their best, holla!" Why, Heather? No one says that. Please stop.
Blast from the past:
Ramona says that Aviva kind of reminds her of
in that she doesn't like to be without her husband. It feels like forever since I heard the names Alex and Simon. I wonder how those two Brooklyn lovebirds are doing.
Awkward third wheel:
